Likewise the treasure that lies in the human hearts often gets enshrouded by the outwardly expositions. Traits of characters which play a dominant role in one’s everyday life might mislead the other at the receiving end thus giving rise to several incherishable or undesired consequences. Events in our lives that entwine these facts find dramatic presentations in the stories which the author has offered to the readers as a collection of short stories in this book. The unknown happenings, the hidden facts and the expositions having varied hues appear before the reader in the depictions presented in the stories to be relished while the reader wonders what comes next. Why the prized catch of the police is an enigma to the O.C., or how a rustic widow casts a spell on a renowned city doctor, or who speaks to Rony Singh in the dark, or what makes a botanist abandon his promising career, or why the Crawfords decline to leave India, or if Satyapal can see his mother again, or what makes the simple Ratan boast of his self-importance – all these queries find the answers in the narratives that follow while the reader goes on savouring the gradual unfurling of the tales presented in this collection.

About the Author

Jagadish Choudhury, now in his late seventies, had a bright professional career as a mechanical engineer earning accolades in his work.
