About the Book

The purpose of writing this book is not merely to cherish memories of my father, but to carry forward the values by which he lived his life. He believed that the life we have been granted should not be lived solely for oneself but should be dedicated to society—through body, mind, and resources. Capturing his vast personality and countless deeds within the confines of this slim volume feels like trying to contain an ocean in a small pitcher. Nevertheless, this is a humble initiative. It is my wish that these episodes from his life reach future generations and serve as a source of inspiration. If, inspired by his life, the seeds of service, cooperation, and humanity can sprout in even one person's heart, then the purpose of writing this book will be fulfilled.

इस पुस्तक को लिखने का उद्देश्य केवल पिताजी की स्मृतियों को संजोना नहीं, बल्कि उन जीवन-मूल्यों को आगे पहुँचाना है, जिन पर उन्होंने अपना जीवन जिया। उनका मानना था कि जो जीवन हमें मिला है, उसे केवल अपने लिए नहीं, बल्कि तन, मन और धन से समाज के लिए समर्पित करना चाहिए। उनके विशाल व्यक्तित्व और अनगिनत कार्यों को इस छोटी-सी पुस्तक में समेटना मेरे लिए गागर में सागर भरने जैसा है। फिर भी, यह एक छोटी-सी पहल है। मेरी इच्छा है कि उनके जीवन के ये प्रसंग आने वाली पीढ़ियों तक पहुँचें और उनसे कुछ प्रेरणा मिले। यदि उनके जीवन से प्रेरित होकर किसी के मन में सेवा, सहयोग और मानवता का बीज अंकुरित हो सके, तो इस पुस्तक को लिखने का मेरा उद्देश्य सार्थक होगा।

About the Author 

I am Meenal (Gul), the daughter of Shri G.S. Dhote. This is my debut book, written as a humble tribute to my father’s values, his spirit of service, and his dedication to duty. I shared a profound spiritual bond with Papa, and perhaps that is why he placed such unwavering trust in me. Today, as people remember him with respect and reverence, we feel proud to be the children of a father whose very name speaks for itself—requiring no further introduction. I am deeply grateful to my mother for inspiring and guiding me in the writing of this book. Should there be any shortcomings in this endeavor, I ask you to look beyond them, understand the sentiments behind the work, and bestow your affection and blessings upon me.

मैं मीनल (गुल), जी. एस. धोटे जी की बेटी हूँ। यह मेरी पहली पुस्तक है, जिसे मैंने अपने पिताजी के जीवन-मूल्यों, सेवा-भाव और कर्मनिष्ठा को अपनी ओर से एक छोटी-सी श्रद्धांजलि के रूप में लिखा है। पापा से मेरा एक विशेष आत्मिक जुड़ाव था और शायद इसी कारण उनका मुझ पर अटूट विश्वास भी रहा। आज जब लोग उन्हें सम्मान और आदर से याद करते हैं, तो हमें गर्व होता है कि हम उस पिता की संतान हैं, जिनका परिचय बताने की आवश्यकता ही नहीं पड़ती। इस पुस्तक को लिखनें के लिए प्रेरित करने और मेरा मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए मैं अपनी माँ की बहुत आभारी हूँ। यदि इस प्रयास में मुझसे कोई लुटि रह जाए, तो उसे मेरी कमी न मानकर मेरी भावनाओं को समझते हुए अपना स्नेह और आशीर्वाद प्रदान करें।
