About The Book

Across the Pause is a new book of poems by Lalit Mohan Sharma, 75 poems ranged one after the other, a result of submission to both subtle and not so subtle challenges and exigencies of daily life, the emotional reservoir beside which intellect and heart sit down in impromptu conversations.

The personal and the collective, the ephemeral and the universal merge and emerge in striking a pageant of innocence and conflict-driven harmony.

About The Author

Born 1952, a former government college Principal, Dr Sharma is a bilingual poet, translator and author. His publications include 16 books of English poetry, two anthologies of Hindi verse, Another Gandhi - a monograph on a freedom fighter and A Three-Step Journey, an English translation of Zahid Abrol’s Urdu poems.

His book On the Edge has got International Culture award from International Academy of Rome.

Included in several books of poetry, stories and academic research, his poetry book, Icy Chill on Fire and his first book of fiction Blind Man’s Bluff, came out in 2026.
