About The Book
India is not just a country — it is a living civilization where every region, every language, every cuisine, every tradition, and every smile reflects an extraordinary harmony of diversity. This diversity, this energy, and these experiences form the foundation of the book “Bharat Ka Safar.”
This book is a documentation of a journey through India that goes beyond geographical boundaries and allows the reader to feel the confluence of culture, tradition, spirituality, and modernity. The author has personally travelled to almost every state of India — from the snow-clad peaks of the Himalayas to the serene shores of the South, from the lush valleys of the Northeast to the vast deserts of the West. These journeys were not only seen but lived.
“Bharat Ka Safar” is a collection of those lived experiences that inspire the reader to see India from a fresh perspective.
This book is not limited to information about tourist destinations; it teaches that travel is not merely about seeing, but about understanding and connecting at a deeper, soulful level. The book classifies Indian tourism into five major dimensions — Cultural Tourism, Adventure & Eco-Tourism, Modern Tourism Trends, Government Policies, and the Future of Tourism in India. Each section brings forth a new form, a new color, and a new experience of India.
This book is valuable not only for students, researchers, and travel enthusiasts but for anyone who wishes not just to read about India, but to feel it — its soil, its fragrance, and its soul. The author aims to present tourism as a medium of learning, sensitivity, and self-realization rather than just entertainment.
Every chapter helps the reader experience that the true beauty of India lies in its people, its traditions, and its simplicity.
“Bharat Ka Safar” is not merely a book; it is a journey that connects the reader with the soul of India and reminds us that India cannot only be seen — it must be lived.
About The Author
I am Sagar Shad, a resident of Mirzapur, a small yet historically significant town in Uttar Pradesh — the very place from where the official Indian Standard Time (IST) is determined. I was born and received my early education in this culturally rich city, where the flowing Ganga, the scenic hills, and the simplicity of folk traditions come together beautifully.
Since childhood, I have been deeply curious about India’s diversity, traditions, and journeys. This curiosity inspired me to move forward in the field of tourism. I completed my Master of Vocation in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. Apart from this, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law, an M.A. in Education, a Diploma in Women’s Studies, a Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management, and an Appreciation Course on Population and Sustainable Development.
After completing my studies, I worked as an employee in various travel companies, where I learned the finer aspects of the tourism industry and understood travelers’ needs closely. Later, I began working as a Freelance Tour Manager, travelling across almost all Indian states — from the Himalayas in the north to the coastal landscapes in the south, from the valleys of the northeast to the deserts of the west. These journeys connected me to the soul of India.
I realized that India is not only geographically diverse but extraordinarily rich in cultural, spiritual, and human values. Every journey was a lesson, every destination an experience. These experiences and emotions inspired me to write “Bharat Ka Safar” — a book that does not just show India but helps one truly feel it.
I believe that “India is not just a country on a map, but a grand celebration of experiences that enrich the soul.”
India is a living example of “unity in diversity,” reflected in every region, every culture, and every person.
This book, “Bharat Ka Safar,” is the result of my experiences and my deep faith in India’s cultural essence. My aim is to give tourism a new perspective — where travel becomes a medium of learning, sensitivity, and self-discovery.
