About The Book

Panchakarma is one of the most distinctive and scientifically structured therapeutic disciplines of Ayurveda. While extensive literature exists on Panchakarma in adults, practical guidance on its application in pediatric patients remains comparatively limited. The unique physiological characteristics of children—including immature Agni, developing Dhātus, delicate body tissues, and evolving immunity—require careful adaptation of classical Panchakarma principles. This necessity inspired the development of Clinical Panchakarma in Bala Roga: A Practical Handbook.
This handbook has been written to provide a practical, clinically oriented approach to Pediatric Panchakarma for undergraduate and postgraduate Ayurvedic students, academicians, pediatric practitioners, Panchakarma specialists, and clinicians involved in integrative child healthcare. The emphasis throughout the book is on translating classical Ayurvedic principles into safe, evidence-informed, and clinically applicable protocols suitable for everyday practice.
