About the Book
Often, when individuals hear the word spirituality, they think of religion and thus shy away from exploring this aspect of their lives. Yet, for those in recovery, being spiritual can change and support one’s sobriety and recovery. This book hopes to change those perceptions. Additionally, for those who are spiritual or religious, this book aims to support your use of either of these orientations as you continue your recovery journey. To these ends, this book encourages you to embrace your human spirit – your spirituality – whether you are an atheist, agnostic, someone more psychologically oriented, or someone who is spiritual but not religious, or someone who embraces a religious tradition. This book aims to help you embrace and enact your human spirit orientation in support of your sobriety and recovery.
