About the Book
My book, Kuchh Panne Meri Diary Ke, is not merely a collection of poems and nazms; it is a story of emotions, feelings, dreams, and the many spoken and unspoken moments of life.
It carries within its pages the emotions of friendship, the respect and love for a mother, the helplessness of love, the struggles of life, and the experiences of students and young people. Every poem and nazm in this book represents an emotion of its own.
All the compositions included in this book were once written in my diary as expressions of my feelings. Later, at the encouragement of my life partner, Arfa, I gradually transformed those diary entries—poems and nazms—into the form of a poetry collection.
If you have ever loved someone immensely, experienced the depth of love, felt the sacrifices of a mother and the value of relationships, found yourself lonely in the distance from a friend, lived through the emotions of separation, or spoken to yourself in moments of silence, then my book, Kuchh Panne Meri Diary Ke, will feel deeply personal to you.
Perhaps, within these pages, you may see a reflection of your own story!
About the Author
Md Irshad Akhter is currently a History Lecturer and is actively involved in guiding students in their academic and career journeys. His deep passion for reading and teaching is one of the defining characteristics of his personality. He is also an engaging and influential speaker.
From an early age, he was exposed to literature through his father, 'Mr. Sajjad Akhtar', who would often recite English poetry, Urdu couplets, and nazms. These experiences developed in him a deep interest in literature during his childhood.
He has read literary works in several languages, including English, German, Urdu, and Hindi.
His academic journey spans several disciplines. He graduated in German Language from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and subsequently completed diplomas in Arabic Language and Tourism. He also studied English Literature, Hindi Literature, Urdu Literature, and later pursued an in-depth study of History.
He has been passionate about diary writing since his school days and enjoys writing short stories and poetry. His greatest inspiration in writing has been his mother, 'Nazma AKhtar'. The distance from his mother during his studies and his job at TCS, along with the struggles associated with being away from her and his deep love for her, compelled him to express his feelings through diary writing. Over time, those emotions naturally transformed into poems and nazms. Thus, “Maa” (Mother) became his first poem.
The journey from diary writing to poetry and eventually to a published book has been supported and encouraged by many people. His friends have always believed in his writing. 'Shahjahan Khan', in particular, would warmly appreciate his poems and nazms after listening to him recite them. His friend 'Kishan Kumar' constantly encouraged and motivated him, while his life partner, 'Arfa Manauwar', repeatedly listened to his poems and kalaam and inspired him to bring his writings together in the form of a book.
This book is therefore not only a collection of his poems and nazms but also a reflection of a deeply personal journey—from childhood memories and diary entries to emotions, relationships, separation, love, and the enduring bond between a son and his mother.
