About the Author

Dr. Rekha Sapkal, MBBS, DGO, MD (Gynaecology & Obstetrics), FICOG, is a distinguished medical professional and academician with over 45 years of rich teaching and clinical experience. She has served as Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at several reputed institutions, including People’s Medical College, Bhopal (MP); KVG Medical College, Sullia (Karnataka); Government Medical College, Akola (Maharashtra); Government Medical College, Nagpur; and CAMA & Albless Hospital, Mumbai. A dedicated postgraduate and undergraduate teacher, Dr. Sapkal has mentored countless medical students and practitioners across India. Her scholarly contributions reflect her deep commitment to women’s health and surgical excellence. She is the author of two acclaimed medical books—“Surgical Skills on Internal Iliac Ligation” and “Read What You Can Speak About Obstetrics”—which serve as valuable resources for medical professionals and students in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.
