About The Author

Laishram Preity Devi, M.Sc., is an Assistant Professor at Assam down town University, Sankar Madhab Path, Gandhinagar, Panikhaiti, Guwahati – 781026, Assam, India, with academic and clinical expertise in Operation Theater Technology and Emergency & Critical Care. With hands-on experience in airway management, ECG interpretation, ventilator care, and resuscitation (CPR), she brings valuable clinical insight into perioperative and critical care practices. Her academic interests are deeply rooted in perioperative patient management, and her research includes a study on patient recovery post-ICU care. She has also completed professional training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), further enhancing her clinical acumen.
In addition to her clinical and teaching responsibilities, Ms. Devi has actively participated in national-level faculty development and pedagogy training programs, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence and learner-centered education. Her contribution to this book is a reflection of her dedication to advancing quality education and safe surgical practices in operation theater environments.

Dr. Susmita Saha is an educator, academic leader, and passionate advocate for excellence in healthcare training. Currently serving as Associate Dean (Academic) and Assistant Professor at Assam down town University, Sankar Madhab Path, Gandhinagar, Panikhaiti, Guwahati – 781026, Assam, India. She has dedicated her career to nurturing competent, compassionate, and safety-conscious healthcare professionals.
