Ayurveda is a science that perceives life not as a collection of isolated organs and systems, but as an integrated network of interdependent structures and functions. Every physiological activity, every pathological alteration, and every therapeutic intervention described in Ayurveda is based upon the principle of interconnectedness. The classical Acharyas briefly described the relationship between Dosha and Dhatu through a few concise statements, particularly the famous declaration that Asthi is the Ashraya of Vata, Rakta is the Ashraya of Pitta, and Rasa and related Dhatus are the Ashraya of Kapha. Although these references are brief, their implications are immense. Dr. Anoop M is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kriya Sharir at the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Panchkula. An accomplished academician, researcher, and educator, he possesses multidisciplinary expertise in Ayurveda, physiology, and yogic sciences. Holding qualifications in BAMS, MD, PhD, and M.Sc. (Yoga), Dr. Anoop has dedicated his career to the advancement of Ayurvedic education, research, and integrative healthcare.

His academic interests encompass Kriya Sharir (Ayurvedic Physiology), Yoga, human physiology, holistic health, and evidence-based Ayurveda. He has contributed significantly to the field through teaching, research publications, academic presentations, and scholarly writings.
