About The Book
"Say It Anyway" is a simple, heartfelt story set in the lanes of Guwahati. It is told by Rohan Sen, a thirty-eight-year-old man who has spent years doing one thing very well — telling everyone he is fine, even when he is not. Behind his calm face, he is struggling with money problems, growing distance from his brother and mother, and a tired, worried mind that keeps him awake at night.
Over the course of one important year, a chance meeting with a stranger, a quiet family conversation, an unexpected setback, and an old, unhealed grief slowly push Rohan toward a truth he has spent his whole life avoiding. What he discovers along the way — about himself and about the people closest to him — changes everything he thought he understood about being strong.
Written in easy, everyday English, with warm Bengali conversations in the family scenes, "Say It Anyway" is a story about the small courage it takes to stop pretending and start being real with the people we love. It is for anyone who has ever said "I'm fine" while feeling something very different inside.
About The Author
Prof. Minkon Roy's journey reflects resilience, determination, and the quiet pursuit of dreams. Born into a lower-middle-class family in Assam, he faced his share of struggles on the path to building a life of purpose and meaning. Despite early challenges, his steady spirit and hard work have shaped a career spanning technology, teaching, and now, storytelling.
From an early age, Prof. Roy nurtured a deep interest in computers and dreamed of a career in technology. Financial constraints meant he could not pursue the exact path he imagined, but he adapted, pursued a degree in Information Technology instead, and built from it a career of more than eleven years as an IT and ERP professional. Today, he works as a D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant, having contributed to enterprise implementations across finance functions.
In recognition of his contributions to the field, Prof. Roy was conferred the title of Professor of Practice by Manipur International University, at the Kamakhya Institute of Public Health Science, in August 2024 — an honour reflecting his commitment to mentoring others alongside his corporate career.
Alongside this, Prof. Roy has always carried a quieter, personal pursuit — writing. His debut book, Manifestation Code: Decoding the Law of Attraction, has been widely read and continues to sell successfully on Amazon and Flipkart.
With Say It Anyway, he steps into fiction for the first time, drawing on the everyday rhythms of Guwahati and the emotional undercurrents of ordinary lives. Written during a period of recovery and reflection, the novel reflects his belief that the smallest, most honest sentences we speak often carry the greatest power.
