About The Book
This multi-authored book is a novel attempt to compile a comprehensive account of environmental health, which stands as an important dimension of the subject of community medicine. The book has been divided into four parts that include the foundations, core dimensions, systems and infrastructure, and implementation and governance with respect to sustainable environmental health. Themes like environmental ethics, climate change, energy conservation, sustainable agriculture, and governance have been especially written for community medicine doctors, postgraduates, and people concerned with environmental health and its current scenario in India, duly discussing the position of the country in the world climate change forum in lieu of sustainable development goals and their accomplishment. It is a must-read book that will provide many insights to the readers and instigate a new lens to view the subject of community medicine.
