About The Author

Dr. V. Athithan is a former Scientist-B in Entomology (Project) at ICMR-Vector Control Research Centre (ICMR-VCRC), Puducherry and is presently working as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in the Department of Biochemistry, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, India. His academic and research interests include medical entomology, plant biology, biomedical sciences and histopathology with particular interest in medically important insects and arthropods, biochemical pathways, molecular interactions and laboratory research. He has contributed to peer-reviewed scientific publications and has been involved in multidisciplinary research collaborations. His academic experience in entomology and biomedical sciences has contributed to the preparation of this textbook for students and professionals in medical and allied health sciences.
