About The Book

Psychology for Physiotherapy serves as an essential bridge between behavioral science and physical therapy. It moves from foundational theories (Behaviorism, Psychoanalysis) to high-impact clinical applications. The text provides a deep dive into the "internal" barriers to recovery—such as fear, anxiety, and frustration—and equips students with the tools to manage them.
Beyond individual patient care, the book explores Social Psychology for better teamwork and Clinical Psychology for specialized populations (pediatric and geriatric). It ultimately transforms the physiotherapist from a technical expert into a compassionate communicator capable of managing complex psychosomatic conditions.
