About The Author

I'm Srinidhi, from Karnataka, and I currently serve as the Head of Safety & Security at an international hotel chain. My journey has began in the Environment, Health & Safety department as a Safety Officer from construction and shifted to hospitality as a Fire officer, where I gained a deep understanding of the critical role security guards play in protecting our properties and staff. Through my experience, I've witnessed firsthand the struggles of these unsung heroes, who work tirelessly behind the scenes, often unnoticed and unappreciated. Despite their dedication, they are frequently overlooked and undervalued, with limited access to benefits and facilities. I believe it's time to change this narrative. As I've navigated the industry, I've come to realize that security work is not just about standing at the gate; it's a complex and creative field that requires technical expertise and skill. The story of Mr. Raghav Naik, a security guard who embodies resilience and devotion, inspired me to share his story and shed light on the struggles and triumphs
of these dedicated individuals. This book is my attempt to give voice to their stories, to recognize their contributions, and to ignite a wave of appreciation and change.
